Pinotage is unique to South Africa – the result of a 1925 crossing between Pinot Noir and Cinsault in Stellenbosch. The DeWaal family were one of the very first wineries to plant the varietal commercially.

Dusty Road Pinotage is light ruby red with a purple tinge. The intense nose reminds of strawberries and cherries, enhanced by a touch of sweet spice. This warming, full bodied red wine with its soft tannins has a concentrated palate reminiscent of ripe red fruit, backed up by spice and some pepper. The intensity and spiciness makes it an ideal partner to flavoursome foods such as game.
