From the El Quien Estate (situated about one and a half kilometres from the world famous Vega Sicilia vineyards) Chafandin wine is dense cherry-ruby coloured with some violet hints.
Jaros is a blended estate wine. The main variety is Tempranillo (locally known as Tinto Fino) with some small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which varies by vintage, but never more than 15%.
The objective of Bodegas Mauro (situated in the Castillian town of Tudela del Duero) when it was originally set up in the late 1970s, was to rival the best of Spain. In this they have been very successful.
